It's always one New Year's resolution that's easy to keep: Get a running start on selecting new plants for next year's garden. And this year there'll be plenty to choose from. Plant breeders all over the world have been especially busy developing both new varieties and exciting variations of some old favorites. This year we evaluated dozens of new plants here at the Garden Gate test garden. As always, it was tough to narrow the field down to just a few. But we've managed to select what we think are this season's cream of the crop new plants, and noticed a few trends in the process.
