
I wanted nothing to do with geraniums in my first garden. Those red flowers and stiff leaves were just too familiar. But that was before a friend showed me some of her geraniums. A myriad of variegated, crinkled, scented, ivy-shaped and gold and bronze leaves, and everything from brassy to dainty blooms made my head spin.
